Financially literate means having the ability to not let money – or the lack of it – get in the way of your happiness.
Time and money are limited, but you shouldn’t be.
We help women simplify their relationship with money to buy more time for their health, happiness, and the things that matter.

“A stranger in a drive-through window changed my life.”
How it Started
I felt trapped under the weight of $26,000 of student debt. As a first-generation college grad, I was paying for college and navigating adult challenges by myself. I only had $1,000 to my name, … so it was an overwhelming process. Then, one day, a stranger in a drive-through window changed my life. A bank teller yelled that keeping my life savings in one account made it easy for others to steal it all in one swipe. At that moment, I was shocked at how clueless I had been, but I realized I needed to learn, but didn’t know where to look for help.
From then on, I read books, researched online, and talked to others who had gone through the struggle. Today, my situation has improved. I fully paid off $26,000 of student debt in 2 years, saved emergency funds, and invest in my future. Unfortunately, I realized many women struggle like I had. And guess what? It’s not their fault.
During my journey, I found something shocking- the gender wealth gap. The gender wealth gap basically means there is inequality in how much wealth men and women own. Did you know the average single man owns 3 times more money than the average single woman? How fair is that?
Money gives you power over your future, but if you don’t have enough, you can be put into tough situations.
Lack of money can be an obstacle to education, distance families, trap people in abusive relationships, and hold people back from pursuing their dreams.
I founded Cleva Gal to change that. Cleva Gal is a media company and community to empower women in their life, money, and mental health. It’s a place for women to learn, grow, and help each other. There are so many places telling women to doubt themselves. I wanted to create a space that empowers women to succeed. I hope Cleva Gal inspires more women to get interested in their own money, power, and freedom.
“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”
