24 Surprising Stores You Can Take Your Dog Into

In 2020, the demand for a furry companion was so high that animal shelters had to start waitlists because they didn’t have enough dogs. Many people adopted a pet to fill their free time. However, as stores start opening back up, you may be wondering, “can I take my dog to…?” Well, there are actually many places that allow pets to shop with you in the store. Take a peek below for the list of stores but stay for the cute pet pics. Scroll to the bottom for the full alphabetical list of pet-friendly stores or tap here if you’re in a hurry.

Tips Bringing Your Pet Shopping

  • Do a trial run first (start with a short trip to test how your pet reacts)
  • Bring necessary supplies (leash, harness, and doggie bags)
  • Go on a day you’re not busy (many will ask to pet your pup)
  • Call the location your first time (states have different health codes)

Note: As a pet owner, it’s important to respect each store’s individual pet policy. Unless your dog is a service animal, don’t bring them into a store that’s not dog-friendly (never falsely claim your dog is a service dog).
